The botanist´s view
I paint the beauty of the blooms and their amazing colours but my training in science and technology also enables me to extend our view and include microscopic and molecular elements that I have seen or know that are there. Therein lies a world which is sometimes strange but no less beautiful. I like to obfuscate and ignore scale and jumble things which creates complexity which is key to nature and at the same time moves the painting towards the abstract.
In "The botanist´s view" the dramatic dandelion bloom emerges from an ever evolving source of amazing variation and size.
